Our National Partnership with No Kid Hungry:
Did you know 1 in 5 children in America are struggling with hunger, totaling more than 16 million? Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry Campaign works to connect kids to the meals they need to grow and thrive. Arby's is committed to providing wholesome, quality products to families across the country and with this collaboration, Arby's and our partners are poised to make a significant contribution to this campaign.

Arby's and the Arby's Foundation work to raise awareness of childhood hunger by providing information to our employees and customers across the country through our websites, social media, special promotions, and in-store materials. We also take our mission on the road: In 2012, our mobile event vehicle will be traveling across the country visiting summer feeding sites and motivating individuals to join the movement to end childhood hunger in America!
Funding Programs:
In 2011, the Arby's Foundation pledged a $1 million dollars to No Kid Hungry as a show of commitment to our new partnership. Through our National Restaurant Fundraising; the Partners Program; Check-in for Charity on Foursquare; and the Arby's Kids Meal, we were able to raise over $2 million in just the first few months of partnership!
The Arby's Foundation also supports a Community Investment grant program administered by Share Our Strength. Through this grant program, Arby's restaurants may nominate an organization in their community that is working to end childhood hunger in America.
Arby's Kids Meal:
The Arby's Kids Meal just got a lot more wholesome. We've added new nourishing choices like our Jr. Turkey & Cheese and apple slices with yogurt dipping sauce so you can feel good about what you feed your kids. For every Kids Meal purchased, a donation is made to the Arby's Foundation.
Good Mood Crew Volunteers:
In addition to our commitment to No Kid Hungry, the Arby's Good Mood Crew volunteers in our corporate hometown of Atlanta, Georgia and across the country to make a difference in the communities we serve.
In 2011, the Arby's vehicle and Arby's employees had a great opportunity to help out in times of need. Arby's provided lunch to volunteers in Omaha, NE during the Missouri River flooding and to tornado victims and volunteers in Joplin, MO; Birmingham, AL; and Tuscaloosa, AL.
The Arby's Foundation also dedicates resources to a local elementary school. Some of the ways we help include supplying recycled paper and office supplies for students; reading to classrooms bi-monthly; hosting a perfect attendance party; and awarding certificates to students who best represent the Arby's values of Dream Big, Work Hard, Get it Done, Play Fair, Have Fun and Make a Difference!
To celebrate the launch of our No Kid Hungry partnership, the Arby's Foundation and Arby's Support Center employees kicked off the 2011 holiday season with a week of volunteering. Our team prepared over 3,316 meals at a feeding site; held a Thanksgiving food drive for a local elementary school that resulted in over 700 pounds of food packed in 55 reusable grocery bags; and helped bag hunger by holding a rally and providing free Arby's lunches in return for a donation to No Kid Hungry.
